Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Linux Systems Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for the provisioning, maintaining, and enhancing our Linux-based storage appliances. As we scale from hundreds to thousands of deployments, your expertise will ensure the robustness and efficiency of our software, systems, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provisioning and Installation Support: Efficiently provision new Linux storage servers and provide comprehensive installation support to on-site installers.
  2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues in deployed machines, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  3. Hardware Management: Handle RMA processes for defective units, refurbish returned devices for redeployment, and perform basic computer repairs, including component replacement.
  4. Software Management and Upgrades: Maintain, update, and improve the software running on the appliances, execute regular updates across the network, and manage a CentOS7 upgrade path.

Qualifications:

  • Profound familiarity with CentOS7 and Linux environments.
  • Proven experience in deploying Linux appliances at scale.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking principles and configurations.
  • Skill in managing RAID arrays and understanding of computer hardware.
  • Experience with Bash scripting and Ansible for script execution across multiple devices.
  • Familiarity with TPM 2.0 deployments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Linux, networking, or systems management.
